Cooking for Men: Ingredients

Serves 4-6 as a starter

  • One large Butternut squash
  • Half an ounce of butter
  • Freshly-ground black pepper
  • Six slices of pancetta (or streaky bacon)
  • Two portions (each 25ml) of double cream
  • One chicken stock cube
  • One vegetable stock cube
  • 200ml of dry white wine
  • Three ounces of grated mature cheddar cheese
