  • Two chicken stock cubes
  • One vegetable stock cube
  • Two or thee Kaffir lime leaves
  • One lime (or one lemon)
  • One teaspoon ground ginger
  • One teaspoon white sugar
  • One carrot
  • One small white onion
    or half a large onion
    or half a dozen spring onions)
  • Two dozen fine green beans
    or three runner beans
  • Two thin hot red chillis
  • One or two ounces of beenshoots
  • Half a teaspoon dried Coriander
  • Two tablespoons Thai-style fish sauce
